After the successful release of her solo album “R” and having her two songs topped the Billboard 200 Charts (On The Ground, Gone), BLACKPINK Rosé had made another achievement that not all the artist can do naturally. Bagging two new records for the prestigious Guinness World Records.
It started with the album pre-orders, YouTube non-stop repeats and marvelous creation of the music video and now it is continuing to show dominance even though it is the first release of her single. According to the news, her title track “On The Ground” viewed more than 41.6 million times on its first day of release. This broke the previous record of PSY’s Gangnam Style which has a record of 36 million views way back 2012.
According to the Tweet Post by the official account of Guinness World Records,
The song peaked at No.1 on the Billboard Global 200 last March 27, which topped by a song that she is belong (BLACKPINK – Lovesick Girls), last October 2020.
According to the latest post of Guinness, she is the “first artist to reach number one on a Billboard Global Chart as a soloist and as part of a group”
So far she is the only Korean artist who have done it thus far making this achievements historical for the artist.
Roseanne Park or Park Chaeyoung, who is born in New Zealand, is a gift guitarist with vocals which putted into work when she passed YG Auditions last 2016, trained for 5 years to pursue her dreams to be a famous superstar that is now part of BLACKPINK.
Her main position is the lead singer of the group. She released her first solo album last March 12, 2021, named “R”.
